The Room
The characters in The Room were very complex. The mother in my book has always gone through rough times. She was abducted at 19 years old and put in a room. Went through troubles with the abductor and ended up with a child. This young woman has a 5 year old child and needs to get out. Putting up fights, putting her life at risk, and putting her child at risk. She finds ways to get to other people and pushes the plot even futher.

I also read this book for my summer reading project. At the end of your post I noticed that you said that the mother puts her life in danger and her son's life in danger which propels the plot. I can completely agree. Without the ambitiousness shown from both the mother and her son, the plot would have dragged on and there would be no climax in this book.

DeleteThis sounds like it would be a really good book! And it does sound similar to the main character in my book. They are both faced with difficulties but they end up coming through them with the help of friends and others. I liked how you described it too!

DeleteThis sounds like the kind of book you don't find very often. I think the storyline is very different but in a good way. Like it isn't a murder mystery or futuristic like you hear/see in a lot of books. Sounds good!
